You don’t have to let your unsightly outside A/C compressor ruin the esthetics of your backyard. Instead, blend your A/C compressor and your pool pump in with the rest of your home, turning your backyard into a more comfortable atmosphere. As a landscape artist, of course design is what I do. However, the A/C compressor must remain clear of leaves and any other debris at all times. As well, there should not be any other items near the outdoor heating and cooling unit. You do not want any obstructions that could compromise airflow and efficiency of the HVAC unit. As a landscape artist, I can advise different “green fencing” options that will both enhance your privacy and screen unsightly views at the same time. For instance, an attractive wicker screen can hide the HVAC unit and yet, at the same time give your backyard a garden feel. You can easily add this charming, freestanding screen in front of your HVAC compressor or your pool pump, hiding the equipment. Of course, being a landscaper, I can certainly come up with the right type of bushes, set far enough away from the HVAC unit, to be able to hide it away properly. You do not want to hide your HVAC or pool equipment behind the wrong kind of bushes. You will always want to keep in mind that your heating and cooling technician will need access to that compressor for any needed HVAC repair. That lovely screen will add charm, beauty and design to your backyard, while hiding your outdoor equipment.
