Looking for the perfect house wasn’t exactly easy. My wife and I had a lot of things to think about, like a great neighborhood to raise our children, the nicest school districts, the size of the house and if there were enough bathrooms, and things like that. Well, eventually we found a really fabulous neighborhood that seemed safe and there were a lot of nice kids that our own kids would love to make friends with. The school district was one of the best in the area, and the house wasn’t too sizable but it was certainly enough to accommodate our growing family. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that the HVAC system in the property was a little bit ancient. I mean it was going on 12 years, though it had been maintained properly over its lifespan. The owners assured me that it could last another 8 years or so with excellent maintenance, but I wasn’t sure that I wanted to keep that ancient system for our heating and cooling needs. I decided to call a local HVAC company to get a free assessment. The HVAC technician said the old system was alright, but the newer HVAC systems were easily more energy efficient. My wife and I were absolutely amazed at all the available options on the market. When she seen the radiant heated floors though, she was set on that type of heating system. I was personally more interested in a geothermal HVAC system which would actually pull the heating and cooling from the ground naturally, but we decided to just go for the radiant heated floors. I can’t say that I’m disappointed, as I’ve never experienced such a pleasant heating system in all my years.
