When you go on holiday, you take steps to keep your lake beach house safe. Well both of us followed those rules. We had the lights and cable on timers, stopped our mail and paper delivery, and had someone looking in on the venue once or twice per week. My fiance and I were numerous weeks into our numerous week holiday, and halfway around the world, when our beach house sitter called and told us that someone had stolen our cooling system. Mind you, both of us don’t have a window cooling system either. We have central heating and A/C. And someone had taken the outside component, the compressor, from our yard. I couldn’t know it. They simply split all of the hoses leading into the house. Of course the beach house sitter filed a police report however there legitimately wasn’t anything else to do. My fiance and I decided to stay and try to appreciate our trip and deal with the theft when both of us returned. Thankfully nothing else was taken and both of us don’t live in a bad neighborhood. I simply don’t guess what possess people sporadically. Anyway, once both of us got back both of us had to call up our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C dealer and get a whole current outside component to our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. It cost quite a bit of money too. Thankfully the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company was understanding and let us make payments. They also used special bolts to bolt down the compressor to the cement it rested on so that it is not so easy to steal. I think this is why businesses keep their cooling systems on their roof, so they are harder to walk off with.
