It was a long eight hours in the car and everyone – two adults and three kids, were getting antsy. Our summer vacation had started and we couldn’t be more excited to be back in the southern sunshine! Upon arrival, we left our suitcases in the hotel room and headed straight to the beach. The sun was starting to go down at this point, but it didn’t stop us from taking in the warm salty air. The next day, we all could not wait to spend the day at the beach and pool! After several sets of sunscreen applications and a few cool drinks, it was time to go inside to get ready for dinner. It wasn’t until this point that I realized that my face had a very red glow to it. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. My husband and I were completely sunburnt! Having to change clothes was painful and taking a shower was even more painful. Honestly, if it wasn’t for our hotel room’s fast working heating and cooling unit, I don’t know what we would have done. The air conditioner felt amazing when we first walked in the room to cool us down from the outdoors. But after our showers, we would get the sunburn chills and it was way too painful to warm up in a blanket. We turned the heat up on the thermostat and within minutes we felt a lot more comfortable. But as easily it was to become cold, it was just as easy to get hot again. With the click of an arrow button, our personal comfort was at the tip of our fingers and we would not have had such a pleasurable experience if the hotel’s HVAC unit wasn’t as reliable as it was.
