The other day, I had to laugh at my friend because he asked me the most absurd thing! He actually asked me if I would come over to his place and help him repair his HVAC system! I couldn’t believe he asked me such a thing. I asked him if he had his HVAC certification, which I already knew he didn’t. He of course said he didn’t but he had been watching some DIY videos and he was certain that he would be able to handle the task with a little bit of help from me. I told my friend that I wasn’t trying to be rude or disrespectful, but he was going to have to walk that path alone. I wasn’t going to be responsible for the damage he was about to cause to his HVAC machine. I always call the HVAC company myself because I don’t know a thing about heating and cooling technology. I don’t even know how HVAC systems work, I just know that I adjust the thermostat and my system cranks out the heating or cooling that I require for my house to be comfortable. I feel like I would probably mangle the whole system and then the repair cost would be even more expensive. I figured he was going to have that very problem, but he wouldn’t listen to me. Oh well, I tried to get him to listen to reason, but he was confident that he could do it. The following day, I called him up to see if he was successful with his attempt at repairing his HVAC. He said it was a disaster and he just called the HVAC company that morning.
