My dwelling uses hard water and it basically ruins everything it touches! The hard water stains all my plumbing installations, my teeth and makes my hair look red.

Don’t combine bleach with hard water, it is a terrible combo.

Once a year my hard water rebels and messes with my water heater. There is a piece on the tepid water tank referred to as the anode rod. This rod is responsible for catching all the sediment and debris from getting into your water, but it should be a nice thing. The anode rod is no match for the hard water however. There is too much for it to catch and it ends up ruining this part of the water tank. I pretty much always know when I have to rip it out. The water coming out of the faucets smell a great deal like rotten eggs. I then know it is time to head down to the basement to check out the water heater. I have to rip out the anode rod and null my warranty once again. Then I need to get rid of the egg smell that drives everybody nuts. I have to dump a ton of bleach down all the piping and then for several days, the water has a bleachy smell. After it cycles through, the group of us will be alright. My family then can’t consume the water in any way since it is entirely contaminated; no worries though. After this whole cycle, the water tank won’t last especially long anyway. It will easily die and I will need to buy a new water tank. Then I get a new anode rod that I realize someday will make the water smell a great deal like eggs. It is a horrible cycle that seems to be especially frequent in my life.
