My university recently built a small building to serve as a concession stand for our big sporting events. The sporting events that could be held in our indoor gym, such as volleyball already had the benefit of a kitchen and larger concession stand. However, it had been tough to give refreshments for the spectators of our outdoor activities, such as baseball. The concession stand was quite a neat little building once it was done being built! I have to say it was more modern than. All it needed was a kitchen and a full lavatory & it could have been a miniature home! Besides the nature of its construction, the other reason that made myself and others know it would have made a pretty nice little home was the fact that it had a ductless split Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system which would be controlled by a thermostat. Central heating & air was obviously too complicated for such a small building, & the university obviously felt that window air conditioners were not going to break it especially on a really hot day. Apparently, the perfect solution was the ductless mini split unit. The device consists of an indoor & outdoor component, both of which are small and rather straightforward to install & connect to each other. It’s great that we now have the perfect concession stand for outdoor events. The workers within the concession building are now kept perfectly warm or cool and are always comfortable depending on the time of the year thanks to the mini split system. What’s also cool is that we are able to sell all sorts of food and drink like ones that we were not able to before. Thanks to the temperature controlled unit our game attendance has increased!
