My home has always been one of the most comfortable places to hang out – at least, that’s what all my friends say.

They love to claim that I thought of every possible luxury, and that’s why I always host the dinner parties.

I also end up hosting parties of every kind – birthday parties, holiday festivities – the list goes on. It doesn’t help that I’m also a talented chef, so I spent much of the day in my kitchen! I used to hate how long I’d spend in my kitchen, cooking away, but that was mostly due to how cold my feet would get. I know – a man with every form of heating and air conditioning that you could think of, but I still can’t seem to keep my feet warm. I looked into two possible changes to make to my kitchen. I was planning to renovate the entire kitchen anyway, so why not add an extra heating element to the mix, right? That leads into my decision to get radiant heated floors installed in the kitchen. Radiant heated floors work like a radiator, but are embedded in the floorboards. From below the surface, hot air rises from piping or electric cables. That heat continues to elevate through the room, up towards the ceiling. The best part is, the heat is generated in an even, uniform distribution. This means every single part of the kitchen is warmed at once, and that makes it much more comfortable. And, using radiant heated floors means that I don’t need to use my furnace as often to warm up. Overall, I’m thrilled with my choice of heating systems.
