In the south you can use this heater, but only if you don’t have a power outage
I have looked into heat pumps before. I like the plan that a heat pump device is legitimately energy efficient as well as can be used for Heating as well as A/C zone control! However, there are just too several disadvantages for my taste, but first, the initial cost of a heat pump is quite considerable, but you get both heating as well as cooling with one system, as well as you pay for it as well as then some. The heat pump plan is high as well as the Heating as well as A/C upgrade is another horrible cost. The upgrade is not for the faint of heart either. The outdoor component with this heating as well as air plan is quite invasive. The loop plan is difficult to install as well as takes up a lot of room. If you go with a geothermal heat pump, the outdoor component is buried. This tears up the sod as well as requires hiring another service. Another disadvantage of having a heat pump is that you need annual service. With spending so much on the Heating as well as A/C unit, it should be totally self sufficient. Nope, the Heating as well as A/C supplier needs to check it once a year because lots of things can go wrong. Air filters are still with this plan too. So the homeowner has to keep up with it too. The biggest disadvantage might be the heating function though. The heating won’t work if un-even temperatures drop below 40 degrees since it does not create heat energy. So if you live in the north, you still need a heating system. In the south you can use this heater, but only if you don’t have a power outage. If the power goes out, your electric heating function is worthless.
