Instead, the ductless mini-split HVAC unit consists of an indoor air handler and an outdoor compressor and condenser unit

Me and my wife recently decided that we wanted to do a little something more with our sun room. Our sunroom offered a beautiful look into our backyard and we found ourselves spending quite a lot of time in it. Naturally, our sun room was a little less enjoyable during the extreme seasons of the year. It was a little too hot in the summer at certain times of the day when the sun was glaring through the windows. It was also pretty frosty in the wintertime because of the lack of insulation or climate control. However, nature was no less beautiful to observe during the summer or the winter, that was for sure. We decided we wanted to turn our sunroom into an all-season room. In order to pull that off, we needed to make some renovations, but chiefly, we needed some form of climate control. Window air conditioning units for the summer time would be big, boxy and ugly! Setting up space heaters in the winter time, while potentially a workable solution, would cause tripping and fire hazards and clutter. No, it seemed our best option was a ductless, mini-split HVAC unit! We would not need to extend our ductwork from the rest of the home’s central heating and air system. Instead, the ductless mini-split HVAC unit consists of an indoor air handler and an outdoor compressor and condenser unit. The two separate components are joined by piping that creates no more than a 3-inch hole in the wall. In short, a ductless, mini split unit was perfect for our needs!
