After Randy and I moved in together, my boyfriend brought a lot of stuff with him. Randy had been living on his own for quite some time. Also he had been renting a house. Because my boyfriend is exceptionally short and wide, typical furniture doesn’t entirely suit him. He can’t get comfortable in a regular-sized chair, couch or bed. Also the big-box furniture doesn’t hold up to the wear and tear of his weight. To match his weight and height, he went to a custom furniture shop and commissioned a family room, study room and study room set. The custom built furnishings were incredibly costly however also of top quality. Every piece was designed and constructed for a man of my boyfriend’s size. When I sit on the couch or in 1 of the study room chairs, my feet don’t constantly hit the floor. I struggle to get comfy on the bed. I am uncomfortable eating at the table. I’m not happy with the custom furniture, however my boyfriend refuses to update it. After such a large investment, Randy wants to get his currency’s worth over years and years of use. We’ve made a deal by adding more furniture. I went to the same custom furniture shop and got a chair and couch to match, but in a much narrower size. I now have a little step ladder to get up on to the bed. All of us still have my boyfriend’s gigantic study room table, but also a more reasonably sized kitchen table.
