I work the graveyard shift & I love it, it is always slow, only a few calls, & there is no management to boss myself and others around.
- It is great… Or, I mean, it was great, but recently corporate had a smart control component installed to control the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C system.
It is locked & only corporate can control the control unit. It is set to 72 degrees all day however turns off at night. That means I have no a/c while in most of our shift… My managers have been made aware of it however they cannot change the control unit. They have contacted corporate however nothing has changed, but every night, about an hour into our shift, the air conditioner turns off & stays off until after I leave. It might be night however it is still very hot outside & inside. It might be time to look for another job if our managers cannot get access to the control component setting & make it so the air conditioner stays on all night. I cannot work all night in the heat. I have also floated the idea that I could do our work from cabin where I have a/c. They just have to route the iPhones & the tablet idea to our home. I would really love that choice however I doubt that management will go for it. If not, they had better figure out the a/c in the office before I call OSHA or just leave. It will be very strenuous to fill an overnight position in a non-air conditioned office.
