I used to struggle a good deal with insomnia.
- I was one of those people who felt genuinely tired, but couldn’t seem to close their eyes and drift off to sleep.
If you have experienced this, you know how frustrating it can be. You feel like a zombie during the day, and feel as if though you could sleep. Then, you get home and when it’s finally time to go to bed, you simply can’t. One other thing that was certainly not helping was my faulty air conditioner. It seems like the maintenance problems were piling up, and it looked like I was going to have to install a brand new unit. I came to find out that the current model was over 15 years old anyway. Having inadequate cooling at best and no cooling at worst, was just awful. Finally, I decided to pay the money to get a brand new unit. Around this time, I looked into sleep aid supplements and various other things to help me sleep. Once the brand new air conditioner was installed, I took some melatonin that evening, cranked up the air conditioner quite high, and included a box fan for air circulation and that soothing noise. I don’t even remember when I fell asleep, and I woke up feeling more refreshed than I had in a good long time. The coolness of the room felt so delightful, that even though I felt pretty well rested, I just didn’t want to get out of bed. It seems my sleep aids had come together to give me a good night’s rest at last!
