I was standing in the house the other day, just enjoying the rain rolling off my skylight.

The lightning was lighting up the darkened day sky, and I was cheerful that I didn’t need to go in to work that day.

It was kind of funny that I was standing here right now. Normally I work for a university district, but because of the severe heat, they had cancelled university that day. I was truly cheerful to be standing here in my house instead of standing outside and enjoying as the kids played, then the a/c in the university wasn’t all that great because they couldn’t get the funding until the current budget was settled. At that time, they were going to have the Heating and A/C supplier come into the university and put a current a/c component into the university while the kids were on holiday. I guessed the air conditioner didn’t believe love waiting for holiday to cut down because it was only May and it was dying. It had been a long time coming and the air conditioner was still lingering. I can’t wait until Wintertide when the weather is cool and no a/c is needed. We’ll be able to take the kids outside to play or to do some clean-up on the playground. Both of us don’t have genuinely frosty weather in the winter, so we don’t worry about heating. As long as the kids have jackets, it is constantly comfortable. I’m not sure what we are going to do if the a/c breaks down now, with only several weeks left of the university year.
