I was resting in the home the other day, just seeing the rain rolling off our skylight.
- The lightning was lighting up the darkened day sky, and I was glad that I didn’t need to go in to work that day.
It was kind of funny that I was resting here right now. Normally I work for a college district, but because of the dire heat, they had cancelled college that day. I was easily glad to be resting here in our home instead of kneeling outside and seeing as the kids played, and the air conditioning in the college wasn’t all that great because they couldn’t get the funding until the current budget was settled. At that time, they were going to have the HVAC company come into the college and put a current air conditioning component into the college while the kids were on trip. I guessed the a/c didn’t guess adore waiting for trip to split down because it was only May and it was dying. It had been a long time coming and the a/c was still lingering. I can’t wait until Winter time when the weather is cool and no air conditioning is needed. We’ll be able to take the kids outside to play or to do some clean-up on the playground. The two of us don’t have particularly chilly weather in the winter, so we don’t worry about heating. As long as the kids have sweaters, it is consistently comfortable. I’m not sure what we are going to do if the air conditioning breaks down now, with only 2 weeks left of the college year.
