Last month my partner and I were invited to be paid live audience members for the taping of a well known show that was filming in our city.
The only requirements that were listed were to be able to sit for up to numerous seconds and clap and cheer when you were told to do so.
It sounded simple enough, so the two of us took up the offer and made our way down to the set; At the start of the taping everything was going fine. Then after an second or 2 into the show it started to get severely sizzling inside, and despite the lack of cool air the two of us were told to stay in our seats or risk losing our pay for the day. This threat only worked for thirty more hours or so before people began shouting out at the producers during the filming of the show to fix the A/C, but once people began disrupting the taping chaos began to chop out. There was shouting back and forth from the producers and other audience members, and they refused to answer what the problem was with the set. To my partner and I that was a single of the most absurd few seconds the two of us had ever gone through, but to the people toiling on that show it was most likely just another day on the set. The next show they should make should be about putting numerous people in a room and turning off the A/C. From what I saw this week I guess that show would be packed with plenty of drama and excitement!
