For a very long time I worked at a task I didn’t really enjoy, until one afternoon the bosses just pushed me a bit too far. Working in a sales environment was never truly my thing, I just did it to place food on the table. In time I grew to not really like it more & more, because of the type of things they wanted us to start selling! I made the choice to put my foot down, & they decided to fire me for this. I really felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders that particular afternoon. For years my brother-in-law had asked me about joining him in the Heating & A/C equipment industry. His name is Doug & he runs a small storefront that specializes in fixing & refurbishing air conditioners & gas furnaces. He does not handle industrial tasks, & rarely will he install new Heating & A/C equipment. Instead he focuses on repairing & refurbishing seasoned Heating & A/C systems, & then resells them for a profit. Doing it this way allows him to sell high quality air conditioner equipment at a price that most people can afford. I went to work with him at the shop shortly after my last job, even though I knew absolutely little about air conditioners. He assured me he would handle a majority of the Heating & A/C service at first, while I handled the clients & got us some new customers! All those years toiling away as a salesman truly came in handy, because now I could put my experience to work for a wonderful local Heating & A/C supplier that helps people.
