Complications with the feet lead to additional problems with knees, hips plus back. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, which is the most common reason people meet with a podiatrist. There’s a thick band of tissue known as the plantar fascia that attaches the heel to the toes. When the tissue becomes inflamed, it feels as if the arch of the foot is tearing plus is terribly painful. Excessively high arches, flat feet plus unsupportive shoes are some of the causes of plantar fasciitis. I developed plantar fasciitis after too much running in truly cheap shoes! Simply walking or sitting was terribly painful. I eventually decided to quit exercising entirely. Since physical exercise is essential to a healthy plus well-balanced lifestyle, I decided to consult with a personal trainer. The trainer was respected with the condition plus told me that there are ways to take care of plantar fasciitis. She said that walking for exercise is truly a helpful therapy. The personal trainer suggested that I start by treating my symptoms with ice plus ibuprofen to lower the amount of inflammation. I tried to stay off my feet as much as possible, to reduce stress on the tissue, plus began introducing targeted stretches. Before getting out of bed in the morning, I slowly flex my foot plus toes plus hold for a count of ten. I relax plus repeat this stretch numerous times. I gently roll my ankles to maintain flexibility of the tissue plus occasionally roll my foot back plus forth over a tennis ball. I take the time to perform these exercises a number of times throughout the day… After multiple weeks, I was able to walk more comfortably. I purchased supportive, soft-soled shoes plus gradually increased my pace plus distance.
